Therapy Approach
As a mental health counselor, my goal is to help my clients explore their inner strength and to assist them with understanding themselves. My style is collaborative, warm, and empathic. I aim to create a safe and open space where my clients can feel heard and understood. I am passionate about therapy work as I believe it is truly meaningful and rewarding to be part of my clients’ wellness journey. My therapy approach is eclectic; I utilize different tools based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. In addition, I value multicultural approach. As a person who grew up in two different cultures (Korea and the U.S.), I understand that cultural background, economic status, religion, gender, age, and many other cultural elements play a significant role in forming one’s identity. I strive to provide not only emotional support but tangible resources to my clients by providing individualized care plans that meet each client’s unique situations and goals.
