She is a member of various mental health organizations and has particular expertise in child/adult ADHD and workplace performance, substance abuse and addiction, domestic violence training, and depression. Therapy Approach

My therapy approach is Integrative Psychotherapy. Within this approach, I will help you to integrate yourself: to bring back to awareness the sensations, the responses, the abilities, the hopes and the thoughts, and doubts and desires that were put off and hidden as a result of acute/cumulative trauma. I see this method as potentially helping you become whole again, with full access to all that you are and may become. I also center this method on Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) in which I will sustain a therapeutic alliance with you while seeking to help you to engage more effectively with your environment by decreasing negative behaviors and increasing positive behaviors.I will teach you the skills that will help you to untangle self-perpetuating vicious cycles between your environment, cognition, emotion, behavior, and physiology so that you can unlearn what is dysfunctional and learn new, more functional, techniques.Additionally, I will help you to gain an understanding of the sources of your difficulties, as well as increase resistance to relapse through decreasing the influence of maladaptive behaviors. I will also help you achieve a greater understanding of yourself as an individual, incorporating whatever views you find helpful, whether philosophical, cultural, scientific, existential, or spiritual. I also integrate Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help facilitate and engage intrinsic motivation within yourself in order to change that behavior. In addition, I integrate Group Therapy, as well, to help you learn to communicate more clearly and effectively with others in the group context. Group Therapy offers you the opportunity to interact with others with similar issues in a safe, supportive environment.
